Virginia Walmarts Announce more than 4,000 Veteran Hires

Walmart began its Veterans Welcome Home Committment in May 2013. Since then Walmarts across the United States have hired more than 130,000 veterans. Out of this whopping total, 4,000 of these veteran employees have been employed by Walmarts in Virginia alone.

Walmart's Veterans Welcome Home Commitment was launched on Memorial Day and specifically guarantees a job offer to any eligible U.S. veteran who was honorably discharged within a year of active duty.

Marine Corps Veteran Courtney Linville, who is now a Manager at a Virginia Walmart, happily shares,

"I am proud to be among the thousands of veterans that work at Walmart. Walmart has consistently invested in veterans by providing jobs and the opportunity to achieve long-term success within the company".
