Our Military Heroes in Action - Combat Videos, Rescues and More

This week's military heroes in action post features four videos. And as promised last week, you will find both the Army and Coast Guard represented.

In this week's edition, you will find a tribute to the USS La Jolla submarine, a Coast Guard rescue, soldiers training with Javelin anti-tank missiles and Apache helicopter combat video. Enjoy!

USS La Jolla Departs Pearl Harbor

Here's a video clip of the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS La Jolla (SSN 701) leaving the submarine piers at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for the last time. The submarine will soon be decommissioned and used in training in Charleston, South Carolina.

Coast Guard Video of Casino Boat Rescue

Looks like these folks luck ran out! Sorry, we couldn't resist. Here's video of a Coast Guard rescue off the coast of Georgia. The majority of individuals were rescued by boat while four were airlifted out by helicopter.

Soldiers Firing Javelin Anti-Tank Missles

This video includes some cool slow-motion footage near the end. This is a video of soldiers from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment training in Germany firing Javelin anti-tank missles.
