We had to share this powerful video sharing the battle many of our veterans face right here at home. The video raises awareness of homelessness, divorce, PTSD and suicide among our veterans and military families. It also lists a number of military-based organizations the band supports - a list which includes Healing Heroes Network.
Many of us understand that our military veterans face these issues. However, many Americans do not understand the magnitude of the problems.
The video for "Wrong Side of Heaven" from the band Five Finger Death Punch showcases these issues in a very powerful way. Here's what the band - ardent supporters of our military service members - had to say about their music video.
“We wanted to do something impactful to help our veterans in need. With this video and the accompanying campaign we hope to shed more light on the seriousness of their issues. The statistics are shocking, and if any change is to take place it will start with general public awareness. We have been playing numerous military shows but wanted to do more; educate, reach out and donate to the organizations that are making a difference to better the lives of our veterans.”
FFDP has also launched the website www.5fdp4Vets.com where you can watch a video of band members discussing their strong connection with our military and veterans. You'll also find more information about how you can help a veteran or military family in need.
And if you scroll to the bottom of the home page, you'll find links to military organizations - including Healing Heroes Network - which offer support, help and healing to our veterans, military spouses and family members.
Thank you for your support! Please share this post with your social networks to help us raise awareness for these serious issues our vets face right here at home - a place where they should find safety and comfort.
