Do you and your family spend part of Christmas day at the movies? If so, this year you can choose from two military movies. The movies American Sniper and Unbroken both hit theaters this Christmas. And both of these movies share true stories of brave military veterans.

Below, you will find a short description of both military movies. Plus, we added a few videos to get you pumped up about taking the family to see one of these new releases on Christmas day.

American Sniper - Limited Release on Christmas

American Sniper shares the tale of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. With over 160 confirmed kills, Kyle was considered the deadliest sniper in American history. The movie will only see a limited release December 25, but it will be released to all markets in January.

Unbroken - World War II Veteran's Story

The next movie goes a little farther back in U.S. history. Unbroken is the story of Louis Zamperini, a U.S. airman and former Olympic runner who survived two years as a Japanese prisoner of war during World War II. Zamperini passed away this past summer at the age of 97. Here is one of the official trailers for Unbroken which will hit theaters Christmas day.
