A Fort Hood soldier died after he was stabbed in the stomach by his wife's former boyfriend. According to a police report, Spc. Victor Badilloalvarez, who was in Kissimmee, Fla., during the Christmas break, was in bed with wife when he heard a tapping on the window.
After seeing that Randal Jose Bracetty-Atanacio, his wife's former boyfriend and father of her child, was who was outside the window, the Fort Hood soldier went outside to find out why Bracetty-Atanacio was at the home.
The soldier's wife, Asheley Grullon, told police that she went outside as well, heard yelling and saw her husband doubled over and Bracetty-Atanacio backing away with a knife.
Police were called and when they arrived, two men were holding a towel on Badilloalvarez's abdomen to try to slow the bleeding. The injured soldier was still alive when police arrived.
One of the responding officers asked Badilloalvarez what happened and he told police that "Randal, the baby's dad" stabbed him.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died, police said.
According to a Kissimmee detective’s report: “Based on my investigation, I find that Randal went to (the home of Badilloalvarez’s wife) unannounced, and during that time, got into a confrontation with Victor, causing Randal to pull a knife from his pocket and intentionally lunge the knife at him, causing a fatal injury to Victor’s abdomen.”
Kissimmee, Florida police arrested Randal Bracetty-Atanacio later that day and charged him with murder.
Police also arrested Samuel Rivera-Rivera, who they say drove Bracetty-Atanacio to and from the murder scene. He was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
