The FBI is investigating credible threats against a UFC fighter and Green Beret. Tim Kennedy is an outspoken Iraq War veteran who is used to receiving threats on his social media accounts.
While most of the threats are just what he likes to call "military trolls" who post on high-profile military individual's social network accounts, the FBI approached him after determining some of the posts were credible threats from followers of ISIS.
What did the Special Forces soldier have to say after being contacted by the FBI?
His response was simply, "Let those cowards come."
According to Army Times, the FBI reached out to Kennedy this past Wednesday.
“They said, ‘Are you aware of this stuff?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ They said, ‘We think this is somewhat credible,’” Kennedy said. “Then I said, ‘I’m kind of desensitized to this stuff, so maybe you should tell me what my level of alarm should be.’”
After his discussion with the FBI, Kennedy, who served in 7th Special Forces Group and is now a sergeant first class with the Texas National Guard, wrote this post on his official Facebook page.
“Just spoke to the FBI regarding some recent credible threats towards me by #ISIS. They were not overly thrilled with my response … ‘Let those cowards come.’”
Another post he shared via social media was just as great..."They can send whoever they want, as long as they don't want them back."
