Viral Video: Veteran Can't Pay for Groceries in San Antonio, Texas

This viral video of a veteran who can't afford food and other items for his wife and baby shows that there are plenty of Americans who respect and honor the service and sacrifice of our military service members and veterans.

This viral video of a veteran not having enough money to pay for groceries was actually a hidden camera "What Would You Do?" television segment on ABC News.

It was nice to see so many people - many of whom were struggling to pay for their own groceries - offer anything and everything they could to help this "veteran" buy all the items on his list.

One lady in the following video sums up what all Americans - especially those elected officials in Washington - should remember about our service members and veterans.

"They are serving us...our country. They are giving up their lives for us. Why shouldn't we pay them back."

I know it’s a tv show but COME ON!!! A beard…Flag on wrong side…no unit patches or nametape or rank… Top not zipped up…and jeans!!!! Next time you want to see how people react to veterans. Use a real one that has pride in his uniform. Or make him look more like a Soldier. And in a city near a military base at that!
