Viral Photo of National Guard Helping Man Get to Dialysis After Snowstorm

A viral photo and Facebook post thanking the West Virginia National Guard is spreading like a virtual wildfire across the Internet.

The viral Facebook photo post (which we share below) shows WV National Guardsmen helping a man make his way through the deep snow. It turns out that the man is the father-in-law of Brandy Schultheis who wrote the initial post on the National Guard's Facebook wall.

Here's what she wrote when she posted the photo which has since gone viral. "I just want to take the time to thank the National Guard in Summersville, WV for coming to pick up my father-in-law and take him to dialysis this afternoon and for bringing him back when it is completed. You guys rock!"

That's right, these Guardsmen weren't just helping the man make his way down a snowy slope. They actually took the time to take him both to his medical appointment and then brought him back home as well.

That touching tribute has now picked up tens of thousands of shares on Facebook, including one from the official West Virginia National Guard page.

“This is what it’s all about!” they wrote.
