America Remembers The 'Battle of Benghazi' And The Heroes That Defended The Compound

On September 11, 2012, Islamic militants attacked the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya. U.S. Ambassador, J. Christopher Stevens and U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith were killed. This attack has also been commonly known at the Battle of Benghazi.

Islamic militants attacked on the Benghazi compound as Stevens was in attendance to aid in the building of a cultural center as well as a new hospital. The events that transpired roughly started at 9:40 pm when unidentified gunmen launched their assault, Stevens and Smith being recovered by a U.S. rescue team and devastatingly dying shortly after that, and a second assault being launched using mortars against the CIA annex at 4:00 am.

While there is conspiracy and fingers pointed at who is to blame for the devastation and destruction that occurred on that fateful day, all that can be done is to remember, respect, and thank all those that died for our freedom and service to America.

Six elite military operatives fought back that night, and recovered Stevens and Smith. They are thanked and remembered for their service to this country.

It is important that we remember the sacrifices made by the deaths during this attack now, and forever. This patriotic graphic tee features America’s colors proudly, with six men in uniform carrying their fellow soldier to his honorable grave. “Honor Benghazi” reminds us of all that it takes to live in the greatest country in the world.
