As our hearts continue to break, news has surfaced that of the 49 men and women shot and killed in the Orlando shootings, among them was a U.S. Army Reserve officer.
It was Captain Antonio Davon Brown who was originally from Cocoa, Florida.
Brown has entered the Army as a ROTC cadet at Florida A&M University in 2004. He was later deployed to Kuwait as a personnel officer from 2010 to 2011.
He has received many honors such as the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Army Achievement medal.
One of his instructors remember him as being
"a very positive man"
and that he always
"kept a smile on his face".
