Female Veteran Receives Apology After Rude Note Left On Car

We all heard about the female veteran who was absolutely insulted by a note left on her car that read,

"This parking is for Veterans, LADY! Learn to read & have some respect".

Shortly after receiving this note, Rebecca Hayes angrily took to Facebook to call out whoever left her this scathing message.

Hayes's response letter to this offensive stranger went viral- so viral that it eventually reached the very person who left the note.

The unnamed person who left the note in the first place felt horrible and incredibly guilty.

They immediately sent Rebecca an apology note that began,

"“To the lady whose car I left a note on – I happened to come across your post on Facebook through a friend who shared your photo and status. I would like to apologize to you".

Hayes is more than happy an acknowledgement was made by the individual and she publicly expressed her acceptation of their apology.

That’s exactly what I said on FB…this person’s heart was in the right place – standing up for the Veterans. I really thought the Vet over-reacted and should have understood that, at least a little, and should have used that opportunity to EDUCATED about female veterans rather than CHASTISE. In any case, good for the apology, that was class, and THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETS for your service to this country.
